Last week, the ARCCORE team, received orders from two new customers – an European Tier2 and a renowned University in Europe. Both new customers want to leverage on the cost efficiency and the easy-of-use of ARCCORE products and will initially use the Arctic Core platform – the open source automotive embedded platform based on AUTOSAR – on the ARCCORE evaluation and prototype board VK-EVB-M3.

ArcCore today released Abisko – new versions of Arctic Core – the open source automotive embedded platform based on AUTOSAR – and Arctic Studio – the innovative embedded development tools chain tailored for efficient development of AUTOSAR-based ECU solutions.

Fouriertransform AB invests in ArcCore
Fouriertransform is investing SEK 10 million, through a rights issue, in ArcCore AB in Gothenburg. ArcCore is a product development company specializing in AUTOSAR-compliant software for control devices within the automotive industry.
Through this investment, Fouriertransform will become the largest minority shareholder, with 31 percent and 3core remains the majority shareholder with 69 percent. The ARCCORE Team reports yet another new design win for its AUTOSAR products. An european Tier1 has decided to use – in a first step – Arctic Studio tools for its next ECU project. In addition, ARCCORE provides professional services for customization and system integration to kick-start the ECU project. In a second step, ARCCORE will provide most of its BSW modules and integrate these with the current embedded platform for a planned serial production in 2013.

Arctic Studio tool to European OEM
This week the ArcCore team delivered the first version of a development tool tailored for one of the European automotive OEMs. The tool is based on the Arctic Studio platform and its commercial AUTOSAR plugins and gives the OEM an enhanced flexibility to use a wide set of development tools from different vendors in the development process and still comply to the AUTOSAR standard. The new customized tool supports both AUTOSAR 3.1 and AUTOSAR 4.0.
